What is a Home Inspection?
Home inspection in New Jersey is the visual inspection of the major systems and components of readily accessible areas to include the foundation, structure, electrical system, plumbing system, Heating system, Air conditioning system, HVAC, exterior, interior, driveways, and garages. During the inspection the systems that need regular maintenance are pointed out and the details of that maintenance are explained.
Our Reports
The home inspection report provides an easy to read detailed narrative of the system and components that make up the house. It conforms to the standards of practice as regulated by the State of NJ and to better illustrate the problems found pictures are provided.

What is Radon?
Radon comes from the natural breakdown of uranium in soil, rock and water. The release of this radioactive gas enters the air you breathe, causing a potential health risk to you and your family. Radon gas can be found in just about anywhere. It can get into any type of building — homes, offices, and schools — and build up to high levels.
Testimonials
Here’s what our happy customer had to say about our services:
As first-time home buyers, we could not have asked for a better home inspector in Steve as he was not only responsive and thorough, but took the time to teach us about the house we were buying – that was invaluable. –
I’ve known Steve Tilstra for quite awhile and he is one of the best home inspectors I know. When you meet him on the job, it’s obvious that not only does he love his profession but, more importantly, he loves educating his clients about their new home! Most home inspectors don’t make teachable moments an integral part of the inspection process, Steve makes sure that his buyers have a full understanding of the process and the major things to look out for in an inspection. He photographs everything important from the crawl space to the roof to ensure that his clients understand the full scope of their future investment.
Steve was prompt, thorough, and extremely helpful. He arrived at our inspection before we did, went through every nook and cranny of the house, and answered all of our questions in a way that was easy to understand. I highly recommend Steve.
